Hi, Weiran here! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! 🤗
I'm a UX/UI Designer with a background in fine art, art curation, and marketing. I'm currently pursuing a certificate in UX and UI design at Designlab. I’m planning to graduate in Spring 2025.
Drawing on my art curation background, I craft UX designs with a curator's eye for detail and narrative, ensuring every digital interaction is as engaging and thoughtfully arranged as a gallery exhibit.
My approach to interaction design is rooted in the idea of translation—not just with words, but in understanding how a product functions and how users think, then bridging the gap between the two. This concept became clear to me as a child when I had to use scissors with my left hand due to an injury to my right. That awkwardness highlighted how design isn’t one-size-fits-all. Over the years, I’ve observed similar issues—elderly individuals struggling with poorly designed apps and people with visual impairments facing accessibility challenges. These experiences ignited my passion for creating better solutions.
During a volunteer project in my final year of graduate school, I was asked to redesign a website, marking my formal entry into the field of interaction design. It was a turning point, encouraging me to dive deeper into this field, aiming to make technology universally accessible by translating complex technology into simple, enjoyable experiences.
